NAVAL OFFICERS DAGGER BY EICKHORN.

A good looking standard dagger with all brass fittings. There is virtually all of the original fire gilding left on all of the fittings. Pommel, crossguard and scabbard. The celluloid grip is perfect. At some time the original owner caught this dagger in a door or similar as the bottom 1” of the scabbard is slightly squashed and bent. A very common occurrence as these daggers hung back from the wearer suspended on the blue hangers. The blade is in mint condition with etched panels and the 1936-42 Eickhorn squirrel trademark stamped into the riccasso. The brown felt blade washer is present.
Shame about the bottom of the scabbard, but it’s not the end of the world and I have priced it accordingly.
