THIRD REICH RED CROSS OFFICERS DRESS DAGGER.

Quite an elegant dagger which has the German Red Cross symbol cast into the crossguard central lozenge. Deep orange celluloid grip. No chips but has a couple of very old ‘stress cracks’ on the surface. No material missing. Luckily these are both on the rear of the grip, so do not show from the front at all. Very bright and clean nickel plated scabbard with no damage or dents. There is a small dark area to the pebbling to the front, but not noticeable. The suspension bands have round connecting holes. This is JUST a manufacturing difference and does NOT mean these are either Red Cross or Social Welfare pieces!! Blade is near mint with all polish crossgrain, but it has two small areas of tiny surface pitting where scabbard springs have rested against the blade and moisture has got in.
Overall a great looking piece and priced accordingly. A bargain !
