A MOST INTERESTING RAD LEADERS DAGGER. IN AS FOUND CONDITION.

I wish this could tell a story!! According to the seller, this RAD officers dagger was found in an outhouse in mid-Wales. It’s remained in the condition it was found in. However, it’s actually not too bad after all!
It looks like it’s laid front uppermost as most of the corrosion etc has happened to the front and not the reverse. The main scabbard body shows some surface denting and light corrosion to the surface. This is a steel based scabbard. The original silver plating is mostly there especially up around the crossguard. All the pebbling detail and designs are perfectly clear. The dagger itself shows surface corrosion to the alloy base which has caused the silver plating to lift in places, especially to the crossguard and eagles beak pommel. However, both of the cream celluloid grips are complete and in good condition with no cracks!
The blade has been protected in the scabbard. It’s not been exposed to damp so is in near perfect condition with a good, clear etched motto and the reverse riccasso has the maker mark for Karl Julius Krebs. A great looking dagger is you like historical ‘as found’ items. 1000% real (priced accordingly of course, considering a perfect one is £2000 up)
