A COMPLETE FIRE DEPT. PARADE BAYONET WITH FROG AND KNOT.

This Fire cutlass is in virtually mint condition and is complete with its original black frog and the very hard to find correct portapee. The long bayonet has all the nickel finish to the hilt and ‘S’ shaped crossguard. The chequered grips are perfect. The black painted scabbard is in mint condition. It has its original black frog which has always been there. The frog has the rarer leather portapee with black straps and silver triple wires. The acorn has the fire dept alternate red and silver bullion threads.
The long mint conditioned blade is marked CARL BUSSE MAINZ on the riccasso. This actually was the uniform distributor based in Mainz, Germany.
