ONE OF THE RATEST THIRD REICH SWORDS - A JUSTICE OFFICIALS PARADE SWORD BY CLEM & JUNG.

All aspects of the Third Reich were ‘militarised’ and that included the legal system, where the rule of law, according to Adolf Hitler, was administered. Senior members of the Justice System therefore were allowed to wear swords. Unlike the masses of the military, there were relatively few Justice Officials by comparison, therefore this a a very rare sword to find. There were several makers, CLEMEN & JUNG seem to have been quite prolific in the field, but WKC and Eickhorn made them too. )The WKC version has a distinctly different eagles head hilt). These swords are unlike army officers swords in their design. The hilt, front and back, are mirror images of each other! Same design front and back.
This consist of a very pronounced and styalised eagles head as the pommel (not a lions head). Black grip with twisted wire and a very pronounced eagle and swastika crossguard (both sides). The blade is a standard nickel plated sword blade and the black painted scabbard is the same too.
This one has a beautifully gilded aluminium hilt and crossguard. Clem & Jung also had an interesting quirk on some of their later swords and daggers, insomuch as they made the grip out of aluminium too and painted it gloss black! This sword has an aluminium grip with applied twisted grip wire. Very interesting! Overall this sword is in near mint condition. I’ve added a leather sword knot ghst I have had for a while. It’s black leather with triple gold wires running the length. The acorn is silver bullion. Looks very good on it.
If you are a sword collector, this probably one you are missing. They really don’t appear too often on the collectors market.
