A NEAR MINT EXAMPLE OF A 2nd. Pattn. LUFTWAFFE DAGGER BY SMF WITH 100% GILDED SWASTIKAS!

What a good looking piece this is! The exterior is actually in mint condition. All the original airplane grey finish is on the crossguard and pommel. The pommel has shining gilt swastikas! Looks like they were gilded yesterday! The grip is a beautiful tangerine orange with springy aluminium wire. The scabbard is again virtually like new and has ALL the original grey finish. The blade is undamaged. It is a nickel plated type, SMF used these most of the time. The SMF trademark and Waffenampt stamp are on the reverse of the blade. There are a few blemishes on the blade surface which take it off full mint, but it’s still a wonderful example. Add a mint knot and hangers and what a sight it would be!
