EXTREMELY NICE EARLY NICKEL LUFTWAFFE SWORD.

I sold this a while ago and have just repurchased it from the customer, and I am very pleased to have it back again! An early example with solid nickel fittings throughout. It’s not been cleaned in a very long time so has developed a ‘smokey’ patina. Perfect dark blue leather to scabbard and grip, which has a super triple wire wrap. Upper scabbard rings have the original blue crescent leather integral hanger in perfect condition. The scabbard throat is stamped with an accountability number 107. This is repeated under the centre crossguard. The blade is in stone mint condition, has an issue Waffenampt stamp and the oval maker mark for E & F HORSTER. A superb sword.
