SWORD COLLECTION - EARLY BRASS LIONS HEAD SWORD BY E.F. HORSTER
Another nice example from this sword collection and another different maker. This is an all brass hilted lions head parade sword by E.F. HORSTER. Again not a sword maker often encountered. Slightly different again from all the other makers, this has quite a large lions head with red eyes. Has nearly all of the fire gilt finish to the surfaces and a perfect celluloid grip. The triple brass wire wrap is much thinner and ‘daintier’ than other makers. Looks really nice. A near perfect black painted scabbard with 95% original finish. A nr. mint nickel plated blade and the oval HORSER trademark is deeply stamped underneath the obverse eagle langet.
