SWORD COLLECTION - A BRASS LIONS HEAD SWORD BY F.W.HOLLER

Whilst FW Holler were a prolific dagger maker, swords by them don’t seem to surface too often. This is an all brass hilted type, designated by them in their catalogue as a type 160. The hilt is in amazing condition and has 95% of the original bright fire gilding. It has quite a large lions head with red glass eyes. A perfect celluloid grip with the Holler trademark ‘springy wire’ grip wrap. Black steel scabbard which seems to have been blued or anodised, rather than painted. Mint nickel plated blade with HOLLER oval trademark stamped underneath the reverse crossguard langet.
