A VERY GOOD EARLY SA DAGGER BY ANTON WINGEN WITH SINGLE HANGER.

Nice early SA daggers have become more and more popular with collectors, with many collecting by maker alone. This is a very nice early example by ANTON WINGEN Jr and is complete with its original short leather hanger and early long nosed nickel clip. Great solid nickel fittings throughout. A lovely hardwood grip that looks like walnut in colour. Perfect nickel eagle and enamel SA button. No damage to the grip or the insignia. Scabbard has a great SA brown covering and apart from a few age bumps and scratches is in great condition. The lower scabbard fitting has a dent free ball!
The blade is fantastic and I would say stone mint. It has the usual slight ‘in & out’ surface scratches but otherwise has all the original crossgrain polish. Super! The Alles fur Deutchland motto is deep and crisp with all background etch. The reverse riccasso has the large Anton Wingen Jr trademark of a standing knight in armour. Lower crossguard is stamped with No for Nordsee district.
