A VERY EARLY FIRE BAYONET/SIDEARM BY EICKHORN.

Perhaps one of the earliest Fire Dept ‘bayonets’ produced as it carries the very early Eickhorn trademark as found on Rohm SA’s and the full stag RAD hewers. Used from 1934/35. A very nice LONG sidearm with heavy, quality fittings. This has heaviky nickel plated steel hilt and crossguard. A perfect set of chequered grip plates. Blade is 99% mint. Scabbard has a nice gloss black finish and there is an original black patent leather frog.
The S shaped crossguard is slightly bigger/wider on these early Eickhorn fire daggers. Nice item.
