A VERY EARLY SET OF ARMY DAGGER HANGERS - ALL BRASS FITTINGS.

A super set of dagger hangers if you are lucky enough to own a very early Army Officers dagger that has the brass crossguard and pommel. These were only on very early, initial production pieces. The crossguard and pommel were cast in brass and then heavily silver plated.
This is a set of dagger hangers from that same period. All of the metal fittings, top box clip, buckles, slides and lower snap clips are in solid brass. The bullion straps are a ‘old gold’ colour and the backing velvet is dark tan. There is a little wear on the top of one strap around the top box fitting. However, considering these are probably nearly 90 years old, I think they are in remarkable condition.
