A SHORT PATTN. SAW-BACK DRESS BAYONET WITH STAG GRIPS BY ANTON WINGEN.

A really nice variation here, and not really a common bayonet. Nickel plated hilt fittings are in near mint condition. The hilt mortice slot has the original green felt plug, so this is probably a Jager divisional bayonet. The stag grips are wonderful and very unusually the reverse grip is very convex and dips in towards the hilt. Black painted scabbard is in near mint condition. The beautiful blade is heavily nickel plated, is the short type and has a very sharp saw-back top! Very rare to get this combination. The Anton Wingen trademark of a knight in armour is on the reverse riccasso. Super bayonet!!!
