AN INCREDIBLY RARE ACCESSORY- ORIGINAL SS MARKED SHORT BLACK HANGER FOR THE SS DAGGER WITH BELT LOOP.

Perhaps something I should keep, but the few SS daggers I own, all have complete hangers etc. This is a real find, and in my opinion, terribly rare. It is the short black leather hanger, clip and belt loop for a SS mans dagger circa 1938.
Early ‘33 SS daggers, carried by all ranks of the SS, had short black leather hangers, with early nickel buckles and clips. The leather was NOT marked then.
After the RZM took over overseeing production etc., all items had some sort of RZM identification of code assigned to them, even down to a short piece of leather on a SS dagger!!
This has a nice black unmarked belt loop with D ring. The nickel plated snap clip is Assmann DRGM and RZM M5/8 marked on the reverse.
The beautiful black leather hanger is complete with the tiny retaining loop and the hanger itself is marked SS (in a circle) 68/38 RZM (in a circle)!
68 is a company called Hans Romer and 38 is the date,1938.
If you have a mint or near mint SS dagger of this vintage. This is perfect to complete it.
