WEHRMACHT MARKSMANSHIP LANYARD IN GOLD!

This is the highest grade awarded for marksmanship and it’s in the second pattern format with large shield and crossed swords. I’ve had many of the lower grades before, but never one in gilt/gold. The shield is in a muted dull gold finish but in addition the little ‘toggles’ that form part of the braid, are in dull gilt wire also! Backed in rayon and a green uniform cloth behind the shield.
The gold/gilt award was issued for Grade 9 achievements.(needed 5 of the 6 rounds shot to be in the bulls-eye)
