RED CROSS EM’s HEWER WITH FROG.

A great example of this interesting dagger. In really excellent condition but shows evidence of being worn.
The dull nickel plated hilt fittings are in near perfect shape. Great detail to the crossguard and perfect chequered grips. The scabbard is undamaged and has 95% of the original gloss paint remaining. The unique to this type of dagger frog, has always been on this dagger. You can see the rub marks on the paint underneath the frog where is has worn it away. The dark brown leather is stamped to the rear with a letter K. A great frog here. The blade is in lovely condition. It has the usual blunt tip and the amazingly sharp saw-back top edge. None of these daggers are ever maker marked but have ‘Ges Getschutz’ stamped into the blade underneath the crossguard lozenge.
