THIRD REICH MARKSMANSHIP LANYARD FOR ARTILLERY SOLDIERS.
This is again a near mint example of an original 2nd type marksmanship lanyard in thick silver bullion with rayon protective backing. It has the larger shield with crossed rifles and Wehrmacht eagle in the centre. This one also has one single small shell attached to the lower part, which indicates it would have been given and worn by a soldier in the artillary. Much more unusual than a standard Herr one. It was given as a 2nd grade award ( there were 12 in all). A great decorative item and hard to find with any ‘extra’ grades.
