RARE MAKER NAVY DAGGER BY CLEM & JUNG WITH TAN COLOURED KNOT

The vast majority of navy daggers are made by Eickhorn, they must have been issued with the main contract! WKC are probably next, but other makers such as Holler and Horster must have been close behind. There are some makers you hardly ever see, and Clem & Jung are one of them. This is a very nice example. All brass fittings are a nice uniform colour with some gilt wash remaining. Perfect cream celluloid grip with thin twisted grip wire. It has an original period rayon 42cm rayon knot which has darkened with patina over the years and is now a lovely ‘gold’ colour. Scabbard is dent free. Blade is in fine condition with perfect etched panels. The Clem & Jung trademark is an oval with a shield inside with the ‘Z’ in the centre. This maker just does not appear very often at all. This is a nice example.
