NAVY DAGGER WITH ORANGE GRIP AND ORIGINAL KNOT BY WKC.

Perhaps one of the nicest looking combinations on a navy dagger. The brass fittings contrasting against the orange celluloid grip. A classic look. This is a WKC dagger and in my experience, orange coloured grips were only found on a few makers. WKC, Alcoso and the rarely found Luneschloss ones. All these grips were solid celluloid, whereas the white grips used by everyone else, were celluloid over a wood base. Dagger has brass fittings and there is quite a lot of evidence of the bright fire gilt that remains in the crevices, under the knot etc. Grip is crack free with twisted brass wire wrap. Original bullion knot tied in the correct manner with just a little wear in the swing area beside the crossguard. Blade has the typical red felt blade washer used by WKC. The double etched blade is in very nice condition with very clear and crisp definition to the etched panels. Needle sharp point! Scabbard is dent free and in good order.
